Reading – The students will continue identifying simple, compound, and complex sentences and begin distinguishing between coordinating and subordinating conjunctions.

Spelling – This week’s words are: bookmark, bookworm, cookbook, scrapbook, daylight, flashlight, downstairs, downtown, headphones, headstrong, snowflake, snowstorm.

Writing – The students will finish working on their animal research paper. 

Math – All Classes:  Fractions Unit-This week’s focus is comparing fractions with and without pictorial models using less than, greater than or equal to signs.

Social Studies – We will begin our unit on Franklin Delano Roosevelt.  Also, we will practice locating 5 major rivers of the United States (Mississippi, Ohio, Hudson, Rio Grande, Colorado)
