Exciting times

Hello families,
TESTING is OVER!  This week was really trying for the students and staff while we spent everyday from 8:30-12 testing or being super quiet while others finished testing.  Every student deserves a treat this weekend for being so AWESOME!  I tried to have a relaxing atmosphere in the afternoons this week and didn't stress them out very much.  Although, this did result in a lot of extra chatter.  Which brings up my next point of disucssion.....As we approach the final weeks of school the students get "antsy" and we start to see more discipline issues.  Please talk to your student about toughing out the last couple of weeks and following procedures like we have all year!  Thanks for your support on that!

We have a lot of fun stuff coming up in the next several weeks!  Field trip to Atlanta Zoo, Field Day, and my daughter is getting married!  I will be out on May 3rd and 6th.  I will be back just in time for the field trip!

We are in the home stretch!
Thanks,
Mrs. Borg

CRCT Week

Day 2 of CRCT testing is in the books!  The students seem to be hanging in there pretty well.

Just a reminder about the field trip form that was sent home on Tuesday.  We would like to have them back by Friday with the payment for your student.

Keep up the great work!
Mrs. Borg

Recap

Good morning, afternoon, or evening, (depends on when you are reading my post!)
Last week seemed like such a whirlwind.  We spent as much time as we could reviewing, reviewing, reviewing!  We also talked about test strategies and how to physically prepare for the CRCT.  We also had Science and Math day, which the students loved!  We had the winning team out of our room for all of 3rd grade!  Congratulations Stanley, Sheyan, and Gilly!  We went to Career Day on Friday and met some people that taught us about different career options.  We also had the Chick-fil-a assembly and Andrea and Ethan are our new students of the month!

I look forward to celebrating Earth Day with the students next week and if you haven't sent in a cleaned out soup can, with the label removed, please do so!  We are still short some cans.

Sleep and eat well this week and please make sure they relax and unwind when they are at home.  We will not have any homework!  As we approach the last 4 weeks of school, please keep a check on this blog for important updates.

Thanks,
Mrs. Borg

Welcome Back

Hello Families!
I hope you enjoyed your Spring Break!  CRCT is coming up next week and I wanted to remind everyone to make sure their student gets plenty of rest and eats a great breakfast.

We will be doing a recycling craft sometime the end of the week or beginning of next week.  I need one soup/veggie can, empty, cleaned, and label removed for each student.

Thanks for the support!
Mrs. Borg
