Good Morning,
I just wanted to remind you to send in a self addressed stamped envelope for your student's report card and test results.
Also, I wanted to thank you all for an incredible year! I have been very lucky and blessed to have each of these students. I hope they learned as much from me as I have learned from them! Not to mention the wonderful, supportive parents! If you have any questions about anything, please feel free to email me. I will check it over the summer.
Have a great and safe summer and keep in touch!

News from this past week
Wow! I don't think we could have fit another thing into this week! After a glowing report from my sub, I came back Tuesday just in time for the Zoo field trip. It was a great day and the students were able to make a lot of connections. So many things at the zoo related to our studies from this year. Overall the students exceeded my expectations on behavior and our volunteers did an excellent job!
Our schedule on Wednesday and Thursday were a little mixed up due to testing in the younger grades, but we were able to work on some creative writing for Mother's day and finish up some Earth day writing. In math we continued to work on fact fluency and review/prep for 4th grade. In Science we continued to talk about conservation and pollution.
Friday was field day, another exciting day for the students. Our class performed very well. We have a very agile group. We have about 12 different activities that we completed and we worked well as a team and followed directions. Thank you to Mr. Wardlaw and Ms. Cannon for helping me with crowd control (and the tug of war)! I don't know about them, but I was EXHAUSTED.
Next week will be a pretty normal week and full of review and prep. We have a Wellstar Health program on Monday to help the students exceed in the Health portion of their report card. Speaking of report cards....they will be mailed to you now. Please send in a large self addressed stamped envelope to handle the report card, State writing assessment scores, and CRCT results. If you owe money by the end of the year or I do not receive an envelope your report card will be in the front office for you to pick up over the summer.
I would also like to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone for making teacher appreciation week amazing for me! Handmade cards, gift cards, chocolate, gifts, and office supplies made me feel so special! I truly felt appreciated!
Thanks,
Mrs. Borg

Exciting times
Hello families,
TESTING is OVER! This week was really trying for the students and staff while we spent everyday from 8:30-12 testing or being super quiet while others finished testing. Every student deserves a treat this weekend for being so AWESOME! I tried to have a relaxing atmosphere in the afternoons this week and didn't stress them out very much. Although, this did result in a lot of extra chatter. Which brings up my next point of disucssion.....As we approach the final weeks of school the students get "antsy" and we start to see more discipline issues. Please talk to your student about toughing out the last couple of weeks and following procedures like we have all year! Thanks for your support on that!
We have a lot of fun stuff coming up in the next several weeks! Field trip to Atlanta Zoo, Field Day, and my daughter is getting married! I will be out on May 3rd and 6th. I will be back just in time for the field trip!
We are in the home stretch!
Thanks,
Mrs. Borg
